# Bible reader and study tools

The complete Papiamentu Bible reader uses only the supplied BEIBEL.doc text, with the same 98 documented chapter-reference corrections as the concordance. This update does not grant redistribution rights beyond the source text's existing permissions.

## Cross-references

The source is primarily based on the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, with community votes. It contains 344,799 source rows. We re-indexed 344,794 rows to the supplied Papiamentu corpus and retained the complete target ranges and vote counts. Five rows refer to 3 John 1:15, which does not exist in this supplied corpus (3 John has 14 verses); these are excluded, without guessing a replacement. 29,363 source verses have mapped links. The default view shows positive-vote links; uncheck the filter to include every mapped row, including zero and negative votes. Links are directed, as supplied; no reverse links or inferred theological equivalences have been added. See Cross_Reference_Coverage.json for counts and source SHA-256.

Reference numbering follows the source's KJV conventions, matching the supplied corpus by chapter and verse. These are passage-level study suggestions, not verified word alignment or proof of any interpretation. The displayed Scripture text is Papiamentu from BEIBEL.doc, not a copy of the English Bible displayed by the source website.

## Strong's dictionary

Existing bundled Open Scriptures Strong dictionaries and STEPBible lexicons remain available from the reader and concordance. See ORIGINAL_SOURCES.md for editions, licences and limitations. The dictionaries retain English glosses and definitions.

## Ellen G. White

The tool opens a search in the official EGW Writings library (https://egwwritings.org/) using the user's word, topic or reference, or opens its Scripture Index (https://m.egwwritings.org/advsearch?type=scripture). The English Bible book name is supplied for reference searches; users can edit the query and select another search language. Papiamentu topic words are not automatically translated. These are external research links, not imported commentary, an embedded full-text EGW corpus, or a verified mapping of EGW passages to Papiamentu words. No EGW commentary is generated or attributed without a source. Users may save source URLs, citations and personal notes in their study folders. The official service may change, require cookies or be unavailable.

## Personal studies

Folders, saved searches, notes and highlights are kept in localStorage for this browser and site origin. They do not sync to other devices or signed-in accounts. JSON export/import provides a backup and transfer option. Import adds folders without overwriting existing ones, validates verse IDs and restricts stored source URLs to HTTP/HTTPS. Clearing browser/site data removes local studies. No notes are sent to a server by these features.
