## Hebrew and Aramaic text and morphology

Original work of the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible available at https://github.com/openscriptures/morphhb

- Source revision: `3d15126fb1ef74867fc1434be1942e837932691f`.
- Westminster Leningrad Codex text: public domain.
- Open Scriptures lemma and morphology annotations: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).
- Licence: https://github.com/openscriptures/morphhb/blob/master/LICENSE.md
- Conversion uses the project's own `morphhbXML-to-JSON.py --remapVerses`, including the source's partial-verse mapping. Pointing is preserved; the word list and IDs are repackaged by book for the website.
- Hebrew/Aramaic labels follow the morphology language flag, including mixed-language verses.

## Greek text and morphology

Scripture morphological tagging from STEP Bible by Tyndale House, Cambridge. Licensed under CC BY 4.0.

- Source: https://github.com/STEPBible/STEPBible-Data
- Revision: `be4191f0082aeedddb0eff0c02c966292b2bd641`.
- Files: TAGNT Mat-Jhn and TAGNT Act-Rev, in `Translators Amalgamated OT+NT`.
- Selection: every data row whose `editions` field lists TR, including TR tokens with forward/backward word-displacement markers. KJV references explicitly marked in square brackets are used for verse mapping.
- Greek spelling and row order follow TAGNT. This is an edition-labelled original-word list; it is not presented as a new critical edition or a strict diplomatic reconstruction of Scrivener.
- The parenthesized transliteration and source morphology are retained. English verse glosses from the TAGNT rows are not used as a new Papiamentu translation.

## STEP lexical headwords and glosses

Data created by www.STEPBible.org based on work at Tyndale House Cambridge (CC BY 4.0).

- TBESH and TBESG from the same revision as above.
- Fields used: lexical IDs, original headword, transliteration, morphology, and brief Gloss.
- **The TBESH Meaning column is not included**, because that field carries a separate Online Bible permissions notice. No permission is assumed for that field.
- Extended headwords are retained. Some entries have an English brief gloss but no matching standard Strong definition.
- Search folding removes pointing/accents for matching only; original display strings are retained.

## Open Scriptures Strong definitions

The following upstream notices are retained:

> Dictionary of Greek Words taken from Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, James Strong, 1890. JSON version: Copyright 2009, Open Scriptures. CC-BY-SA. Derived from XML.

> A Concise Dictionary of the Words in the Hebrew Bible with their Renderings in the King James Version, James Strong, 1894. JSON version: Copyright 2010, Open Scriptures. CC-BY-SA. Derived from XML. Editing, corrections and Unicode transliterations by David Troidl.

The original Strong works are public-domain works. Open Scriptures' JSON editions are marked CC-BY-SA by their publisher. This package preserves that attribution and ShareAlike notice for its adapted Strong lexical data. The upstream notice does not state a licence version, so no version is invented here. The adapted lexical data is supplied with the same CC-BY-SA notice; the separate OSHB and STEP source annotations retain their CC BY 4.0 attribution.

Only source definition/derivation/KJV rendering/pronunciation fields are used for the general Strong definition. They remain in English. Standard Strong entries without a matching STEP entry are retained as fallback dictionary entries.

## Adaptations in this package

- Data repackaged as local JavaScript files for offline use.
- Hebrew/Aramaic references remapped using the upstream converter.
- Greek rows filtered to the stated edition and mapped by the source's KJV reference markers.
- Original-word reference lists indexed against the supplied Papiamentu verse IDs.
- Lexical headwords grouped by original lexical IDs; standard-number lookup is also supported.
- Formatting tags in brief glosses are converted to plain text. Restricted Hebrew Meaning data is omitted.
- No inferred Papiamentu word-level alignment is supplied.
- No Papiamentu Bible wording has been changed by the language feature or spelling suggestions.

See `Original_Languages_Coverage.json` for the complete coverage report.
